What if cooking could help a child feel connected to the world? 🌎

This week, our Tiny Chefs traveled to Brazil—our doorway into color, geography, tropical ingredients, music, and food. 🇧🇷🌈

We found Brazil on the map, colored rainbows, parrots, and tropical fruits, and explored the country through our senses.

The children chose ingredients, chopped fresh herbs and vegetables, squeezed lemons, measured, mixed, tasted, and created their own version of Brazilian vinagrete with beans and baguettes—followed by bright tropical fruit treats.

Because children understand the world differently when they can touch it, taste it, create it, and ask questions about it.

🦜 Cooking becomes geography.
🦜 Food becomes culture.
🦜 Curiosity becomes connection.

Tiny Chefs Around the World is more than a cooking class. It is an experiential-learning world designed to nurture confidence, creativity, practical skills, and cultural curiosity—one delicious journey at a time.

Where should our Tiny Chefs travel next? ✈️

Send this to someone who believes learning should feel like an adventure. ♥️

MĂŠxico lives in everything I do.

In the colors, the flavors, the rituals, the stories, and the way I welcome people to the table.

This is the land that gave me life and taught me that food carries memory, celebration is sacred, beauty can be an offering, and hospitality is an expression of love.

Today, I celebrate México’s courage, creativity, and extraordinary spirit—and the joy of passing that love on to my children, wherever we may be.

México, siempre en mi corazón. 🥲♥️

¡Viva México! 🇲🇽

What part of your culture do you carry with you wherever you go?

WHAT MAKES A SPACE SACRED?

Is it the beauty?

The devotion behind every detail?

The countless hands and hours required to bring it into existence?

The vision that came before it?

Last weekend, I finally had the chance to walk through the Mandir in Chino Hills. During this pilgrimage, I kept returning to the same thought: sacred spaces invite us to look up, slow down, and pay attention.

Each carving seemed to hold a story. A dream. Every detail felt like an offering—created through patience, purpose, beauty, and devotion.

Every step we took felt like entering a portal—a communion with the Creator and an invitation to participate in the unfolding creation of all.

Sacred geometry in all its magnificence.

Sometimes we believe we have to travel far away to receive an upgrade, a download, or a shift in perspective. And then we remember that, here in Los Angeles, we have sacred places like this—open to all who are willing to enter, look up, and receive.

This expansive experience carried another layer of tenderness: reconnecting with a dear uncle after eighteen years.

Perhaps that is what the spaces we remember do.

They hold beauty, culture, memory, and connection all at once. They don’t simply give us something to see—they allow us to feel something.

This is what I continue to search for in travel, hospitality, and every experience I create:

Not simply a beautiful place, but a place that invites us to become present.

What space has made you stop, look up, and feel something?

🇯🇵 TINY CHEFS — NEAR THE VOLCANO 🌋🍙

This week, Tiny Chefs traveled to Japan.

Not with a plane ticket, but through rice between little hands, sheets of nori, watermelon on cutting boards, strawberry sorbet, shaved ice—and a volcano waiting to erupt. 🌋

We discovered onigiri, Japanese rice balls, and turned ours into tiny edible volcanoes. We chopped cucumber, watermelon and mint for a fresh sunomono-inspired salad. We made strawberry sorbet and finished our afternoon with kakigōri, Japanese shaved ice topped with fresh fruit. 🍓🍧

But Tiny Chefs has never been only about cooking.

It’s about giving children a way to experience the world through their senses—to taste something unfamiliar, discover another culture, ask questions, make a mess, use their hands, and realize just how big and fascinating the world is.

One afternoon.
One country.
So much curiosity. 🌎❤️

Small hands. Big curiosity. A brighter planet.

Next stop… somewhere tropical. 🌺🌴

WHAT IF ALL WE NEED IS TO GATHER AND BREATHE?

The answer is within.

After writing What Do I Want?, and as I prepare for our first small gathering, I kept thinking about something.

How often do women actually have the space to ask themselves questions like that?

Not while driving somewhere.
Not while taking care of someone.
Not while answering emails, making dinner, working, planning, solving.

But to really stop.

And listen.

I don’t want to create a women’s experience where I stand in front of a room and tell women how to live their lives.

I don’t have their answers.

I’m still discovering many of my own.

What I can create is space.

A space where we can sit together and speak honestly.

Where one woman can share and the rest of us can listen without immediately trying to fix, advise, compare or respond.

Where we can breathe.

Move.

Eat beautiful food together.

Spend time in nature.

Return to our bodies.

Be quiet.

Laugh.

And perhaps ask questions we haven’t given ourselves enough space to ask.

Because sometimes another woman’s story opens something inside our own.

Sometimes the body knows something before the mind has found words for it.

And sometimes we don’t need another answer.

We need enough presence to hear our own.

That is the kind of Women’s Experience I want to create.

Not a place to be told who to become.

A place to remember how to listen to who we already are.

What makes a hospitality experience unforgettable?

For me, great hospitality and experience design begins long before the guest arrives.

Before the itinerary.
Before the menu.
Before the wellness experience, retreat, activity or beautiful setting.

It begins with a question:

What do we want people to feel?

Then we design the journey—the arrival, the rhythm, the food, the spaces, the transitions, the moments of discovery, connection and rest.

But the details have to belong to the place.

Its landscape.
Its culture.
Its food.
Its stories.
Its people.

Because meaningful travel experiences cannot simply be picked up and recreated somewhere else.

After more than 20 years working across hospitality, creative production, destination marketing, wellness and retreat design, this is the work I keep returning to:

Creating experiences that connect people more deeply to a place—and leave enough room for something we can never completely design:

how people actually feel.

Hospitality, in its purest form.
