If there was one thing I'd like to come across from my business that I think sometimes gets lost in translation is that I am a business of one working in a field that I love. As of yet my products are not mass produced and I don't have workers or professional models and photographers. My fiance takes my photos and built my website, my friends and I model the costumes and I do everything else from

answering emails to driving around to find fabric to making the pattern, cutting out the material, creating the garment and shipping it off. The few times that I have employed someone to help out has been friends who are also passionate about costumes. I make costumes because I enjoy them and I enjoy what I do and that tends to come across in my attention to detail of the costume, the way that I communicate with my customers and in some of my original and inspired by deisngs.

Astarion failed all the perception checks at this locale. Catstarion took over. Get this man a sound bath now!! Funny thing is this was all my hubby being super into it. 😂 I looked over and saw him fully immersed and being adorable and I had to take a video. This is another one of those reels I post because it makes me both laugh and smile. And then this Audio came to mind. Question is, will this be like Astarion enjoying a slushie? Weirdly popular and adding to my confusion of what kind of content I should be posting. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Either way, I found it whimsical so up it goes.

Some of my cosplay and costume making work from the past. My Star Trek and Star Wars corsets cosplays took off and gave me a chance to do other cosplays and build my business doing commissions for others. I cringe though on some of what I made because my skill is so much better now. To be fair I wasn’t charging nearly enough for my work so I guess it’s ok lol! Commissions were so hard and when I broke down what I was earning it came to like $1 an hour. If I ever do commissions again I’d need to completely rethink how I do it. And pre made would be the way to go. Not custom.

Living my fantasy elven warrior woman photoshoot dream. My Tav from Baldur’s Gate 3 is a wizard because that’s my go to on gaming. But it sure does feel epic when you grab a giant sword and take photos with it. I can see the appeal of being a Warrior or Paladin. I was worried about my cosplay getting in the water as I didn’t know how it would react but even if the whole thing fell apart afterwords these photos would have made it worth it. (And it’s also totally fine) And another shoutout to my bra for giving me massive fantasy cleavage. Maybe too much cleavage. 😂

My Wavemother’s Robe Tav cosplay. But also a potential Lady of the Lake cosplay? Warrior Elven Queen cosplay?? I don’t even care, I can’t take my eyes off these photos. I love Baldur’s Gate 3 and all the amazing inspiration it has given me for making cosplays again. I’m not sure I’ll ever stop finding new costumes to add to my ever growing list to create. The photos and videos are starting to come in from the Dead Wrath and Beyond retreat I went to in March and I’m already so addicted to this experience and need to do more. It was a wonderful experience with the most amazing photographers (as you can tell) and people. Also shoutout to bra for doing some heavy lifting there lol. I’m large but I’m seeming exceedingly larger than normal thanks to it lol!

Here be the tales and woes of Dadstarion. An Astarion cosplayer forced to endure the horror of a porta potty at the Ren Faire. Do Vampires need to go to the bathroom? 🤔 Well this one does. And since all of my husbands cosplays are complicated and many layered, it shouldn’t shock you to know this is not the first time we’ve had an argument over his pants when it comes to the bathroom. So you really need to imagine this absolutely over it man, dressed as Astarion while holding pieces of his cosplay in his hand, flailing them about wildly while he stomps over to me from the loo and huffs that line out to me. Then proceeds to vent about what happened in said Ren Faire privy. I could not stop laughing and when we went to the faire again and had to wait in the car line to get out I thought “what better way to pass the time than a retelling.”
