🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PRINCESS CRUISERS SAILING FROM SAN JUAN 🚨

If you have a Princess Cruise booked from San Juan, Puerto Rico, make sure to check your travel documents carefully.

🛂 Many Princess sailings from San Juan now require ALL guests — including U.S. citizens — to travel with a VALID PASSPORT.

📌 What You Need to Know:

✅ Passport requirements may apply to all guests on certain San Juan itineraries
✅ Boarding could be denied if you don’t have the required documentation
✅ Requirements vary based on itinerary and citizenship, so always verify before you sail
✅ Princess recommends checking documentation requirements as soon as you book

✈️ Don’t have a passport yet?

• Apply as early as possible
• Regular processing: approximately 6–8 weeks
• Expedited service: approximately 2–3 weeks
• Many countries recommend your passport be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates

Even on cruises where a passport isn’t required, I always recommend traveling with one. If you miss the ship, have a medical emergency, or need to fly home unexpectedly from another country, having a passport can save you a lot of time and stress.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge–Tunnel 🌊🚢

From a cruiser’s view, this is one of those rare “did we just witness that?” moments…

Sailing past open water and suddenly watching a massive bridge rise out of the horizon—only to sink into the sea and transform into a tunnel right beneath the surface 😳🌊➡️🚇

One minute it’s towering above the waves… the next it vanishes into the ocean like something out of a movie.

From the ship, it feels unreal—cars disappearing into the tunnel while you glide right past on open water.

Only in Virginia does a bridge casually turn into a tunnel like it’s no big deal 😅👏

Pure Chesapeake magic. One of the most fascinating sights on the East Coast.
