Bioluminescent waves in Long Beach Harbor. In this clip we used our iPhoneXR’s flashlight & you can see the dark red dinoflagellates/phytoplankton, but when water gets disturbed they set off a beautiful blue glow as a defense mechanism of nearby predators.
