Off Grid Cabins

Here is an update of Our Off grid life!!!
The cabin runs on (5) 160 watt solar panels with a Renolgy control /charger! I also installed (6) 6 volt large eveready batteries for the back up power($100 ea). These Batteries were all placed in a Pickup bed truck box which keeps the varmints and rain off the system! Installed a 2000 watt inverter and now have plenty of 12v/110 ac power. I added a Frigidaire soft start energy efficient air conditioner to the cabin. The system runs the air perfect! It draws at maximum 400 watts. Most of the time its on water cooler mode drawing less than 20 watts!
