Boys and Girls Club of the North Country

The fun, safe, positive place for all the children of the North Country! Van transportation is provided from Bath Village School and Blue School.

Located in Lisbon, NH, the Boys & Girls Club of the North Country (BGCNC) was founded in 2005 to provide a fun, safe, positive place for all children of the North Country, under the guidance of caring adults. BGCNC is a daily afterschool and vacation camp program that serves children 5 -15 years old. Bus transportation is provided from Lisbon and Littleton schools as well as from Lafayette and Bethlehem Elementary.

We’re closed to Club Kids today so our incredible staff can come together as a full Early Childcare and School Age team, connect, prepare for the year ahead, and spend some time deep cleaning and organizing our spaces.

There’s a LOT that goes on behind the scenes to make the Club a welcoming, safe, and fun place for kids....and these staff members are the ones making it happen. We so appreciate the dedication they bring to the Club every single day.

Thank you for everything you do for our kids and families! ❤️

We are feeling extra grateful for our friends from Watch Them Grow - Bradford ❤️

A few months ago, when Watch Them Grow closed their doors, they generously donated furniture to our new Early Childcare Center. This week, they called us with another incredible gift...a playground structure!!!!

We are so thankful that they thought of us and reached out. This structure will continue to be used by North Country children for years to come!

Thank you also to our Early Childcare teacher, Hollyn, and her family for picking up the playground structure for the Club!

We hope to continue making the Boys and Girls Club of the North Country a wonderful place for kids by adding additional playground space, along with permanent fencing and a pavilion down in the field in the near future. Stay tuned! 👀

A special shoutout to the Jax Jr. Cinemas team for opening their doors just for us and making this such a fun way to end Summer Camp! ⭐

Junior camp got a special Carnival Day 🎡🎟️ thanks to our Senior Campers!

Senior Camp put together a carnival day filled with plate spinning, face painting, rubber duck relay races and an obstacle course.

We love watching our Senior Camp show leadership to our younger campers in a fun and engaging way 💙

This summer, Marsha and the Weekend Backpack Program came into our lives and made a difference for more than 100 Club Kids and their families. Through her efforts, we were able to send home 680 bags of food with North Country children over the past 11 weeks.

Marsha exemplified the incredible impact one person can make in their community. We may not always be able to do great things, but we can always do small things in a great way. ❤️ And for us, this "small" gesture was anything but!

Thank you also to Pantry Posies for donating the beautiful flowers so we could celebrate and thank Marsha a little extra today at her last summer food delivery.

Yesterday, we had so much fun celebrating all of our school age Club Kids’ swim accomplishments from this summer!

Thank you to our amazing swim sponsors, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust and Littleton Regional Healthcare, for joining us to celebrate and hand out medals! 🏅

We’re also grateful to the Michael Phelps Foundation and Step Into Swim for providing additional funding to support our swim program.

Thank you to Lisa Jacobs and our swim coaches for leading the program and teaching over 100 North Country kids this summer essential swim skills! Thank you to Evergreen Sports Center for allowing us to use your facilities each week!

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to:

Summer is winding down, but our fun is still going strong! ☀️

We packed the week with field trips, water safety lesson awards, free swim Friday, and plenty of time making memories together.

We also made sure to celebrate our Campers of the day and Campers of Week! 🏆💙

A huge thank you to Pete and Toby at Copper Cannon Camp for an incredible day with our Senior Campers! 🛶☀️

They gave our kids the full CCC experience with kayaking, canoeing, swimming, co****le, archery, and the opportunity to learn more about what makes Copper Cannon Camp so special. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and hospitality they shared with our group! 💙

And the kids made their feelings pretty clear on the ride home when we asked, “Who wants to attend CCC next summer?” 10/10 hands went up! 🙌

Thank you, Pete and Toby, for giving our Senior Campers a day they won’t forget!
