🚨🐾 EMERGENCY TRANSPORT FOR JAKE! 🐾🚨

Jake, a sweet Basset Hound, was enjoying some time in the backyard when he apparently decided a nail looked like a good treat. 😳🔩

His owner, Miss Marilyn, a 90-year-old pet mom, knew Jake needed veterinary care but was unable to get him there herself.

That’s when she called Port-A-Pet. 💙

We responded, safely transported Jake to the vet, and made sure he could get the care he needed to have that nail removed.

THIS is exactly why Port-A-Pet exists. Sometimes you know your pet needs help, but you simply can’t get them there yourself.

🐾 STARTING THIS MONTH OFF WITH A BANG! 💙

Two emergency transports in two days! 🙌🏾

Today we received a call from a couple who are currently vacationing all the way in Italy 🇮🇹. Even from across the world, they were making sure their elderly pup got exactly where they needed to be.

They reached out to Port-A-Pet to pick their baby up from Wags Pet Retreat in Nicholasville and safely transport them over to Sheabel Veterinary Hospital. 🐶🚐💨

But what really made today special—I want to give a HUGE thank you to Dr. Jude, who came in ON HER DAY OFF and opened the clinic specifically for this pup. 🙏🏾❤️ That’s the kind of dedication to animals we love to see!

From an elderly couple needing help lifting their 90-pound boy yesterday, to owners trusting us with their elderly pup while they’re thousands of miles away today—this is exactly why we built Port-A-Pet.

🐾 WHEN YOU CAN’T, WE CAN! 🐾

Yesterday an elderly couple in Cynthiana reached out to us after their 90-pound Girl Zenna injured her leg. They loved their girl and wanted to get her the care she needed, but with her size and injury, they simply couldn’t handle the heavy lifting safely on their own.

That’s where Port-A-Pet came in. 💙

We arrived in Cynthiana, helped with the heavy lifting, got this big girl safely loaded and comfortable, and transported him to our friends at Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists in Lexington to get the care she needed. 🐶❤️‍🩹

This is what “When You Can’t, We Can!” truly means. Whether it’s age, disability, mobility, or simply having a 90-pound baby that’s too much to safely lift—we’re here to help bridge that gap.

🐾 Do you know someone living with a disability who has a furry best friend?

Sometimes loving your pet is easy, but physically getting them where they need to go isn’t.

That’s where Port-A-Pet comes in. 💙🐾

We stand behind our motto: “When You Can’t, We Can!”

If your loved one has a disability, limited mobility, or simply can’t handle the transportation their pet needs, we can step in and help. Vet appointments, grooming appointments, medication pickups, emergency transportation, or simply getting their fur baby where they need to be — they don’t have to figure it out alone.

Their limitations shouldn’t mean their pet has to go without proper care.
