Pig Penny

Pig Penny Pig Pennies are elongated coins I make to help promote my hometown of Lexington, NC, and the World Famous BBQ we are known for.

Pig Penny was founded in 2007 by Lexington, North Carolina entrepreneur, collector, and Army veteran, Dwayne Padon. Dwayne is a tireless advocate for local small businesses and came up with Pig Penny as a way to promote local businesses as well as his hometown. Dwayne teams up with his mother, Don Rea Padon, who is credited with the artwork for the annual Pig Penny releases.

Heads up, especially to the newest followers of the page. The Lexington Souvenir Shoppe is the only place you can find the Pig Pennies year-round in person. Located on the town square at Main St. and Center St. in Lexington, NC. Easy to find right behind the large American flag on the square. Please check out their page, like, follow, and know this is the best little shop in town. They have all kinds of Local, Davidson County, and North Carolina swag. Pig Penny approved, to say the least...

OK folks, especially for the newest followers who keep asking the same few basic questions. Take a few minutes to go back and read old posts, and look around in the photos section to see the simple answers you are seeking. Here is the last checklist I updated. It features every design I have produced since 2007 (36 designs). I have them all available, but could not lay my hands on 4 of the designs last week when I shipped out Sharon’s coins that she made a post about. All but 2 designs on Pennies are $1 each (plus shipping) the other two designs are $10 & $15 each because I have been out of them for years and have had to buy them back myself off places like eBay (plus shipping), or from local collectors to help other complete their collections. I have some designs rolled on Nickels and those are $3 each, but a complete set of Nickels is not possible for me to sell, since I do not have about 40% of them anymore. Nickels were rolled in very limited quantities compared to the Pennies.

I still make I Met Santa Pennies, and can ship them ASAP. Please message me through this page for orders. Comments on posts is not the best way to order. If you want to order through PayPal my e-mail is [email protected] and each coin will be $2.00 shipped. Cash payments can be mailed in to me at Dwayne Padon 111 Larry Dr. Lexington, NC 27295.
Yes, I only roll Copper US Pennies, that are circulated pocket change coins that have been tumble cleaned. For those collectors who prefer ghosted coins, I usually have some that way too.
