Wednesday after the snow, what do we do? We do stadium. Was it crowded? Nope. Did people just show up? Yes they did —Carol, Jen and Michael. And of course our leaders and Greg were there too. It was a beautiful peaceful morning.

I'll say it very plainly: " I need your help." This is a link to my story as to why I need a kidney transplant. Until now, I have keep my journey awareness limited to close family and friends, but now feels like the time to share with more people that may be able to help me.

BEE SCHOOL
Please note our NEW LOCATION with plenty of convenient free parking!

WCBA Bee School will begin March 2, 2017 and run for eight Thursdays from 7pm to 9:30pm at Grafton High School in Grafton, MA. This school is appropriate for beginner and experienced beekeepers, the individual or family. The fee to attend is $35 per student.

Each application includes a course manual, pro-rated WCBA membership through August 31, 2017 and the WCBA quarterly newsletter. Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required and will be accepted until class is full.

Our honey is for sale at the Johnny Appleseed Festival in downtown Leominster today. Stop by the Sholan Farms booth. the honey was harvested this week from the hives at Sholan. Local and all natural. Sholan Farms will sell the honey from their farm stand on Pleasant St. while the farm is operational.

Went for a hike at lunch time, saw lots of bees working the white clover and red clover.

Beautiful weather for the bees this weekend. The heavy rains of early this week will produce the nectar that the bees will feed off of. Lots of Black Locust in Bloom in the area.

I ordered 2 3 lb packages of bees to add to the apiary for this year.

I've taken off all the excess honey stored in the hives and will do the final extraction tonight. I have to say, the bees have been particular nasty the last few days. I got stung 6 times last week and twice this morning. This after only getting 1 sting in the last 3 years.

Free Beekeeping presentation and demonstration tonight at Barrett Park in Leominster for the Leominster 4H club. Learn about bees, beekeeping, benefits of honey, other other hive products, Q&A. Presentation begins at 6:30 PM. Honey will be available for purchase after the presentation
