🍀 It's not the rain the forecast promised, just a soft mist to settle the dust of the silt from the drought of the last month and now the girls are sporting their "rained on" look! So appreciative of the lower temps the rain brought! If the temps keep dropping, we are planning to be in town for rides this month and we hope to see you downtown! 🍀🐴❤

🍀 Pedicure in the heat! This was Duchess at her last trim - sooooo hot ya'll! So thankful for farrier extraordinaire, Mr. Kris Parker for taking such good care of this sassy red girl! SO glad the temps are trying to drop a bit this week - we are looking forward to fall rides and we hope to see you downtown! 🍀🐴❤

🍀 Now these pasture visitors don't bother anyone! They've visited most of the summer and we've watched the little ones lose their spots. They check to make sure the girls don't leave any feed behind and they visit the salt block and the hay ring in winter! 🍀🐴❤

🍀 Summer is SLOWLY leaving and we had some unwanted pasture visitors today. These guys are usually gone by June, but a few have returned in this heat to bother the girls. There have been a few days under 100 degrees lately though it's still HOT ya'll! Waiting on the cool breezes of fall and shooing these guys along their way! 🍀🐴❤

🍀 It's summertime - and it's HOT ya'll! Ah, the life of the "Hay, GIRL!" for the nerd herd....I fill the extra water buckets up and keep them under the shade tree for the girls and after a few days, they empty them out so I can do it again! This way there isn't a giant water tank growing green algae I have to clean out. Just wipe them out and fill them back up - and I get some "volunteer" help from the youngsters who enjoy the water hose in this heat! Soooo enjoying the rain showers we have had for the last couple of days. Stay cool in this heat, everyone! 🍀🐴❤🚰

🍀 Soooo thankful for the rain! It wasn't a "frog-strangler" or a "gully washer" - just a slow, steady, summer rain - and it was MUCH appreciated! We haven't had rain in weeks! Couldn't get a picture of the slow raindrops falling, so the girls "modeled" them! Good news for the hay fields - as the "Hay, girl!", the girls reminded me to mark this down! Enjoy the cooler temps for a couple of days - stay cool everyone! 🍀🐴❤💧
