Fall is most definitely the BEST season! Friends, Football, Float- that's the weekend agenda 🍁🍂🏈☕💦🌊🎶

As a Texas A&M alumni and a Dallas Cowboys fan, you *already know* my salt bath floats at the end of the weekend are non-negotiable 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ iykyk

My routine:

~ spend a few minutes, unplugged, in the cute Fall themed lounge at the Glade Parks Altered States Wellness 🍂

~ quick vitamin C shower (that smells oh, so wonderful!), take out my contacts, put in my ear plugs, and I'm ready to float

~ binaural beats over the speaker system- no vocal distractions for this (prob) ADHD girlie 🎶 🎵

~ turn the blue lights OFF for complete darkness so my eyes can relax, too 🖤

~ 60 minutes of 0 stimulation

My brain has no choice but to chill

It's a beautiful thing ♥️

Next:

Robe and slippers

Complementary wellness drink (I'm loving the seasonal Still Adaptogens & Botanical Spiced Mango drink by Moment)

Grab a comfy chair
.. And I journal ✍️

Reset, relaxed, and ready for the upcoming week

Let's go!

And as always (and often despite ourselves), Gig 'Em, Aggies 👍

Use discount code: INTRO50 for 50% off ANY service (first time guests only)

Let me know when you've become addicted, too 😉

Fall is most definitely my favorite season

Are you using AI for your job search or career transition, at all? How? And I'd love to hear how it's working for you, in the comments! 👇

I am a writer, and a creative, so I'm 150% sure it will never *replace* the work I do

But I'm curious to learn how it might *supplement* and/or enhance it

I just started playing with my new Plaud voice recorder, and here are my initial thoughts ☝️

Try it!

Afterall, job searching (like so many other things in life right now- is an experiment)

What do you have to lose?

I've been thinking (and talking) a lot about goal-setting over the last few weeks, which I'm loving

How better to hold yourself accountable to *actually doing* the things, than teaching others your methods and sharing your best practices?

There is a lot in my head

A lot up in the air

And a lot that's out of my control, these days

That said, you can bet that the things I do fully own... I will!

And I've got a plan for how to get there

Do you?

I'm curious, how do you decide what is a "must-do" for your week? What made the list, this week?

Nothing in life is free. Every "yes" has a cost. When faced with a big decision, ask yourself these two questions 👇

1) What is this (outcome) worth, to me?
2) What resource do I have to invest?

Saying yes means there's an action coming

And every action requires resources (sometimes just 1- often multiple)

If you've been here a while, you've inevitably heard me say, "We all have the same 3 limited resources:

Time
Money
Energy"

So check in with yourself:

• What do you actually have to give right now?

• What would you be investing IN- what are you saying "yes" to?

AND

• Is it aligned with your current goals and your value sets?

PROTIP: if the idea sets you on fire- it's prob a yes 🙌

(If it's not- it's likely going to stress you out or deplete you)

Big decisions are rarely easy

But when the investment matches what you have to give, who you are, and where you want to go, in life…

The energy is 🔥

What’s one investment you’re making right now that feels aligned?

If you work for a micro-manager (or you've ever been blamed of kind-of being one 🫣) this one is for you!

At the core of micro-management is distrust

And while we can't control other people

we teach people how to treat us

So ask yourself this:

{Do you trust yourself?}

That you understand the assignment?

That you heard any urgency they were trying to convey?

That you share in the vision?

And if you do, and you trust yourself, then the next step is to work to get them to trust you, too.

There are, of course, exceptions to the rule but

Most people that micro-manage have already been taught

Maybe it has been by you

Maybe it was by someone in their past that has nothing to do with you, at all

But if you want to be able to keep your sanity

(Bc who likes to be micromanaged?!)

Then it's your job, now, to teach them that it's safe to trust you!

So, start with asking questions

Make sure you're clear on the goals and expectations

And then get started doing the things!

And maybe doing a little extra (proactive) communication, up front to build that confidence

✨Trust-building starts with accountability✨

The result?

Little by little, that micromanaging should slow down

You get to do your job in peace 🕊️

And you feel better about your value!

That's the real goal here

So try that and let me know how it goes!
