Our Members Are Making Waves in Adirondack Climate Science
Some of our ALA members are participating in SCALE — the Survey of Climate Change in Adirondack Lake Ecosystems — a major new collaborative research initiative launching across the Adirondacks. Much like the landmark Adirondack Lakes Survey of the 1980s responded to the acid rain crisis, SCALE is rising to meet today's challenge: understanding how climate change is reshaping our lakes and waterways. Researchers from AsRA, Cornell, RPI, CUNY, and Syracuse University are joining forces to establish a new ecological baseline that will inform conservation for generations to come.
