🌴 FOLLOW-UP: Isla Tropicale’s NEW Mangrove Bay Pool Area 👀

Ok… after spending more time exploring the new Mangrove Bay area at Isla Tropicale in Roatán, I have to say — Carnival really created a true resort-style experience here. The photos honestly don’t fully capture how large and relaxing this area feels in person.

A few things that stood out to me:
💦 Massive resort-style pool
🍹 Swim-up bar right in the center
🏝️ Private cabanas & shaded loungers
🛳️ Incredible ship views while relaxing in the water
📸 Tons of photo opportunities everywhere
😌 Very easy, low-stress port day vibe

One thing I REALLY liked was the layout. Even with people there, it never felt cramped. There are quiet spots, sun spots, shaded spots, shallow lounging areas, and enough seating that it feels more premium than your typical cruise port pool setup.

And seeing the ship sitting right behind the pool while floating in the water? That’s a pretty cool experience.

Honestly, if you’re someone who normally stays onboard during port days because you don’t want the hassle of excursions… this may change your mind.

🌴 NEW LOOK, SAME PARADISE 🌴

I had the chance to experience Isla Tropicale in Roatán on opening day, and honestly… Carnival did a REALLY nice job with this transformation. 👏

Formerly Mahogany Bay, the destination now features the brand-new Mangrove Bay pool area with a swim-up bar, loungers, cabanas, splash areas for kids, and plenty of space to relax without even leaving the port.

You still have:
☀️ Beautiful beach access
🚠 The scenic chairlift ride
🍹 Bars, food, shopping & island vibes
🌴 Gorgeous Roatán views everywhere you look

What stood out most to me was how easy the entire experience felt. Whether you want a beach day, pool day, drinks with friends, or just a relaxing port stop without a lot of planning… this is becoming one of Carnival’s strongest Western Caribbean destinations.

And yes… I already have a cabana booked for Tuesday 😎🌴

First off, hats off to all the athletes and much deserved congratulations to Hunter Smith for his victory tonight. We had an amazing time at AKA 53. If you’ve never been to an AKA event, you don’t know what you’re missing. Top notch performance from the athletes, to the AKA crew. Thank you AKA for bringing events like this to Lake Charles.
