A few years ago, when I had to step away from my career in hospitality, I knew one thing for certain: I still wanted to remain active and productive on my non-dialysis days.
One of the things I loved most about working in hotels was meeting people from all walks of life. I especially remember meeting retirees who transported vehicles for dealerships. I thought, That actually sounds like something I would enjoy! So, I reached out to several local dealerships in LaGrange, and they welcomed me with open arms—especially Kia.
It turned out to be a perfect fit. I could accept the trips that worked for me and decline the ones that didn’t. And we traveled! One of our trips even took us all the way to Key West.
Eventually, an idea came to me: What if I created my own transportation business?
Not a traditional rideshare service with on-demand pickups, but a more personal, scheduled transportation service for people who needed reliable rides to medical appointments, airports, out-of-town destinations, and more.
My thought was simple: If you pay, I will drive.
And that is how You Pay, I Will Drive was born.
I truly enjoyed driving my clients, hearing their stories, and getting to know them along the way. As the business grew, so did my vision. Toward the end of last year, I transitioned the driving responsibilities to my trusted team, while I now oversee the day-to-day operations of the business.
Our commitment has remained the same from day one: respect, care, reliability, safety, and discretion.
We also take our clients’ privacy very seriously. Travel plans, destinations, schedules, and personal information are kept strictly confidential. Whether you’re traveling across town or out of town, your business remains your business.
