I started a new book this morning: Unleasing God’s Word in Your Life by John MacArthur. The first chapter was only 4 1/2 pages long. Here’s a couple key statements that reminded me of how loving, just, righteous and powerful our God is.
1. Our God speaks to us. He wants to make Himself known to us.
2. God shares Himself freely, but if we finally reject him, He will reject us.
3. God is personal and moral.
4. The whole purpose of man’s existence is fulfilled only when he knows God; and man’s search for God must begin and end in the scriptures because that is where God has revealed Himself.
5 He is available to us. He wants us to know Him.

After reading this chapter I was once again filled with awe, admiration and praise for the One True God. Do these statements change the way you look at God? What are you doing today to know Him better?

Today is our second of three Dementia Care training. We need to know more about dementia so we can treat seniors with dignity throughout their life. One thing that sticks out to me is how we place a loved one in a nursing home and tell them when to get up, when they can eat, when to take a nap and when to go to bed.
