Update : TSA Pre-Check and Global Entry Programs Notice

Updated : TSA PreCheck will remain operational for now, a spokesperson for the agency said Sunday, reversing earlier indications that the Department of Homeland Security’s expedited screening program would be suspended amid the department’s funding lapse.

TSA “will evaluate on a case by case basis and adjust operations accordingly” depending on “staffing constraints.

Original : As of Sunday, February 22, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has suspended TSA PreCheck and Global Entry programs due to a partial government shutdown. This temporary halt, effective 6 a.m. ET, means expedited screening lanes are unavailable, and travelers should expect longer security lines.
