Missouri National Guard Association

Missouri National Guard Association The Missouri National Guard Association was established for the purpose of providing representation for all Army and Air National Guard members.

Welcome to the Missouri National Guard Association. The Missouri National Guard Association was established in 1947 for the purpose of providing united representation for all Army and Air National Guard members of the State of Missouri. As a united voice, we are better heard by both our State Legislature and Congress as the MONGA strives to improve the quality of life for all Guardsmen, while ever

seeking to improve the readiness and mission capabilities of units within the Missouri National Guard as they carry out their state and federal missions.

Just a moment please - Today is a “holiday.” And if “they”, our fallen heroes, were here they would want to be doing the same thing; getting together with family and friends. They would revel in a chance to hug, grill, relax, play with their kids, kiss their spouse, etc. But since they cannot, they would request just a moment of your time on your long “holiday” weekend. A moment to remember why you are free, a moment to respect the flag – the flag they sacrificed all for, a moment to pause and pray for this country you live in and to pray for their families, the families they left behind. Just a moment to remember. Memorial Day is a day to remember. They would not ask for you to be somber all the day through for they too would want to enjoy, relax, unwind, smile and play. All they would ask is for you to remember with just a moment of your time, to stop and say a prayer that would hopefully teach the next generation why we are remembering so no one would ever forget why they gave their all. Thank you for remembering. This is why Memorial day is a Memorial. Lest we forget...

The National Guard Relief Act will officially recognize the National Guard Relief Fund (NGRF) as the relief society for the National Guard. This recognition would help expand awareness across the Guard community, strengthen support for Soldiers and Airmen in need, and open new opportunities for the Foundation to better serve Guard families.

Help make this a reality by clicking the link below to tell Congress to act!

BLUF The National Guard needs its own official relief society. On May 15, 2026 , Representative Brad Finstad introduced the National Guard Relief Act, H.R. 8848 , bipartisan legislation to recognize the National Guard Relief Foundation as an official military relief society under Title 10. EANGUS is...

Why MONGA Wednesday 💡

If you’ve ever wondered why joining matters, here’s your answer:

We support Missouri Guardsmen by:

• Sponsoring a life insurance program for Guardsmen, even non MONGA members.
• Working to build the Minuteman Relief Fund for Guardsmen in need
• Connecting members with employment opportunities, networking, and professional development events
• Awarding $20,000 in scholarships every year
• Advocating for legislation like HB 2593
• Supporting leadership events for Company Commanders and First Sergeants
• Helping junior enlisted and company grade officers attend national conferences

Membership strengthens OUR voice and helps us continue supporting Missouri Guardsmen at every level. We are stronger together!

We loved seeing you all gathered at the Annual Conference last weekend!

From the golf tournament swings (some better than others),to the mixer, vendor booths, costumes that understood the assignment, great guest speakers, and a banquet to wrap it all up, this weekend definitely kept us busy.

Call to Action

Contact your State Senator today and urge them to support House Bill 2593.

Find your State Senator:

If you are in the Jefferson City area, join us at 0900 on Tuesday, March 24 in the Capitol Rotunda as we distribute informational flyers.

Why it matters:
House Bill 2593 removes the requirement that service members must use their GI Bill exclusively for tuition before accessing State Tuition Assistance. This change restores flexibility, allowing service members to use their earned federal benefits for housing, books, and other essential expenses.
