You may have noticed a section of the Ma & Pa Trail near the Main Street crossing closed today in Bel Air. The closure was a temporary safety measure while our crew assisted with the removal of the former dry-cleaner building next to the trail.

This building has been vacant for many years, and its condition had become a concern for both safety and the surrounding area. We are grateful for the opportunity to carefully handle the demolition process, ensuring the work was done safely and responsibly.

While it’s always a big change to see a longtime structure come down, we’re proud to support efforts that keep Bel Air safe, welcoming, and looking forward to the future.

This spot may look familiar to Harford County locals. The Festival at Bel Air is a staple spot among us. Recently, an innattentive tractor trailer delivering local produce ran over a fire hydrant turning the corner in the lot. Our crew was called out to assist in making repairs, working along with Emerald Builders Inc. to get the job done!

Come work for a growing company in the industry. Primary job duties will be hauling stone or similar materials with a Dump Truck. Come drive clean and well maintain company vehicles with a profession you can grow in. Class A or B CDL is required.

Full time and overtime: 40+ hours of work/ week. Must be flexible, weekend hours occasionally required

Qualifications:
- Current Class A or B CDL required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
- Clean driving record with no moving violations.
- Must pass background check and drug test .
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
- Map reading and route planning experience
- An innate sense of direction.
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Be willing to work overtime on busy weeks.

Responsibilities:
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
- Communicate with dispatch as needed.
- Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.
- Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.
- Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refueling )
- Safely drive to job locations and maneuver/ back trucks into customer driveways.
- Track and report working hours.
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.
- Adhere to company rules and regulations.
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions.
- Comply with DOT regulations.
- Make safety a priority at all times.

This job requires Motivated Individuals.

Hourly pay depends on the amount of experience.

Equipment/backhoe operator wanted to install septic systems and perform septic repairs. This job will also involve being out of the machine as needed to assist with the installs and repairs. CDL License is preferred but not required. Must have a good attitude when dealing with customers when needed. Having knowledge and experience with septic system would be a plus.

- Plug in and follow directions/ routes on a company-provided GPS to the job location.
- Safely drive to job locations and maneuver/ back trucks into customer driveways.

Chavis Enterprises is asking for charitable donations to benefit the victims of Hurricane Matthew. Last month, North Carolina alone has seen over an estimated $1 billion worth of damages resulting from the tragic storm. Donations of almost any type are being collected through the end of this week; after which we will haul and hand-deliver these donations to the affected communities down in North Carolina. Donations may be brought to our office at 23 East Ellendale Street in Bel Air, Maryland; or arrangements can be made to collect the goods from you at your convenience.
