Mid-November Shipping Update — Allow Extra Time for U.S. Pickups & Deliveries 🚚📦

As we move deeper into November, U.S. trucking and warehouse operations are experiencing the typical pre-holiday surge. Customers and partners may notice:

• Longer wait times for pickup appointments
• Limited warehouse unloading windows, especially for live unloads
• More congestion at major inland hubs and port-adjacent facilities

None of this is unusual for this time of year — but planning ahead makes all the difference.
✔️ Send pickup requests early when possible
✔️ Allow buffer time for drayage, LTL, and final-mile deliveries
✔️ Let us know if your shipment has a strict deadline so we can prioritize accordingly

If you have shipments planned between now and January, booking early is the best way to avoid delays and premium surcharges.

Yesterday, the Port of Long Beach experienced a major incident when dozens of containers fell from a vessel into the water, temporarily shutting down operations.

We don’t yet have confirmation that the port is back to full capacity, but any delay at LGB can quickly create a massive backlog of freight—impacting vessel schedules, container availability, and onward inland transportation.

Video showed shipping containers, some piled on top of one another, floating in the water at the busy international cargo port.
