๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐…๐š๐œ๐ญ: The most dangerous part of the school bus ride is getting on and off
the school bus. Students are at greatest risk of being injured or killed,
either by a passing vehicle or their own school bus in the โ€œ๐๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ซ ๐ณ๐จ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ.โ€

๐ƒ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ซ ๐™๐จ๐ง๐ž is the area on all sides of the bus where students
are in the most danger of not being seen by the driver. The danger
zones include:
๐ŸšŒ 10 feet in front of the bus where the driver may be too high to
see the student,
๐ŸšŒ 10 feet on either side of the bus where a student may be in the
driverโ€™s blind spot, and
๐ŸšŒ 10 feet directly behind the bus.
๐Ÿš—The area to the left of the bus is also extremely dangerous because of passing vehicles.

Students should remain seated with their feet on the floor and facing forward while the bus is in motion. Sitting properly helps students maintain their balance and ensures they are in the safest position while the bus is traveling. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ’›
