Happy Monday folks!
Ive got a few things to share today, and this may take a minute... so grab a seat.
The tow rig for T.C.T. has been upgraded....... big time. She looks great, tows amazing, and rides awesome. So if I have to come get ya on the side of the highway, you will definitely be able to relax in the a/c, have plenty of legroom, and know that I will get you home safely. And all that for a fair price.
But something else I feel is more important to talk about other than the tow rig....... and it relates to our furry friends.
You see, dogs arent just animals. They become family. They have feelings, souls, quirks, moods, wants and desires. They feel pain and not just physically. They feel trauma, sadness, abandonment.
But guess what else? They feel happiness, safety, love, excitement! They want nothing more than to earn your approval. To be in your space. The cuddles, the snacks, the heart felt warm and fuzzies, and the adventures are all things that dogs need and crave.
Honestly, we as humans, dont deserve such companionship. We are terrible to eachother generally speaking (if you need proof of that claim, try merging onto 465 during rush hour).... So why bless us on this earth with such a divine creature that doesn't know anything other than unconditional love? They dont care if you are rich, popular, laugh funny, or eat wierd things... The only thing I can assume is to teach us something. They say that people save/rescue dogs..... I feel that maybe its the other way around.
Coming up in August, there is a day you need to mark. There is a ride. Put on by a wonderful group of people who in my eyes are saints among the normal. Their hearts and minds are unified with the goal of every dog is deserving of another chance. Every one of those snoots deserves a loving boop. Maybe an extra slice of cheese, but most of all..... a safe and loving home.
Lucci's House Bully Rescue came to our aid at one point in time. A beloved friend of ours had come across Miss Rivvy Roo in a parking lot. Starving and abandoned. Unable to keep her, we decided to give it a go even though we had our own furry family. After a year, it was decided that our home was not the best fit for Miss Rivvy. Honestly, to no fault of her own. Our friend introduced us to L.H.B.R. and they provided assistance to find her a forever home. They succeeded tremendously.
At last years ride, my brother and his wife found their furry partner in crime. And Chunk found a home... a home so loving, he has a heated bed and a cooling blanket. If you go to bed late, that space on the mattress no longer belongs to you....
But they need help as its completely volunteer run. They need good humans for fosters, forever homes, supplies, donations for medical expenses.... and awareness.....
August 22nd.... you should be there.
I will be. And those dearest to me will be as well.
I am extremely excited, and honored to announce that T.C.T. will be sponsoring breakdown recovery at no cost to the organization. If the unfortunate happens, we will get you back to a rally point, and discuss your options for getting home later. Regardless, you will not be left stranded. The rig will have fuel, fluids and other misc items to provide assistance if need be. If I am able to, I am hoping to provide this service to them for this event for many years to come.
They give so much..... and its time to return the favor.
Again... August 22nd.... you should be there.
Even if you dont ride, come by and say hello! Donate if you can. Give some lovins to the furry friends that will be in attendance that day. Every...little...bit...helps...
See you there!!!!!!!
Don't forget.... August 22nd..... @ Southside Harley
