We’re back with the bees! 🐝🎉

Last summer looked a little different for us with some big life changes, but we still loved our bees and we’re hoping to share more of our bee season with you this year!

Yesterday we checked our hives for the first time since fall. When we cracked this one open, we were thrilled with how strong it is after the winter!

We are excited to share our bee journey and honey with you! Stay tuned for more updates!

This is BY FAR our most asked question right now.

At our vendor booth this weekend, people stopped and closely examined this honey. Many people have never seen a honey so light and clear!

We absolutely love this batch of honey, and hope to get more just like it, but every honey harvest is different. The moisture, nectar, and other recourses available to our bees greatly impacts the honey’s look and flavor. We can’t wait to see what the bees make next!

Before ➡️ After

After some trial and error, we figured out how to filter the debris out of beeswax and create pure wax “muffins” to sell at our booth on Saturday!

Taylor also learned that rendering wax is not her favorite thing to do 😅

In the spring, it was usually a little chilly when we checked on our bees, so they would find warm spots and huddle on us. Before we took off our suits every time, we took turns brushing off any hidden bees to avoid squishing them and possibly getting stung.
