It's National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (Sept 13–19), and we want to take a moment to recognize the men and women who are the backbone of Mission Petroleum.

Our drivers are out there in every kind of weather, at every hour, moving the product that keeps this country running — safely, professionally, and with a level of skill most people never see. Nothing we do at Mission happens without you behind the wheel.

To show our appreciation, we've got BBQ appreciation meals scheduled at our locations in the coming months — a chance for us to feed you, thank you in person, and spend some time together. Details to follow soon.

At Mission Petroleum, we move crude across South Texas every day—but the work that matters most isn't always on the road.

We're proud to share that Mission Petroleum has made a donation to 4th Recon Veterans, a San Antonio–based 501(c)(3) founded by veterans of the Fourth Reconnaissance Battalion.

This one is personal. A member of our leadership team serves on the board of 4th Recon Veterans, and supporting this organization reflects something we believe in at every level of our company—standing beside the people who've served.
4th Recon Veterans exists to support current and former Marines and Sailors of the Fourth Reconnaissance Battalion and their families through peer connection and access to the resources, benefits, and care they've earned. Their motto says it all—"Never above you, never below you, always by your side."

That ethos isn't far from our own. Many of the men and women who keep our industry running are veterans, and we know what it means to stand beside the people in your unit—on a deployment or on a job site.

Supporting this organization was an easy decision. The harder part is making sure more people know the work they do.

🇺🇸 In Honor of the Fallen — Memorial Day 2026

This Memorial Day, the team at Mission Petroleum Carriers bow their heads in remembrance of those who gave everything — the military service members of our community who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this nation and never returned home.

They were sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers. They were teammates and friends. They ran toward danger without hesitation, trusted the man and woman to their left and right, and carried out their duty with a professionalism and courage that words will never fully capture. They deserved long lives, and they gave those lives so that others could live theirs.

We also hold space today for those who did come home — but whose wounds, invisible and unrelenting, eventually took them from us too. They fought battles that didn't end when the deployment did, and they are no less our fallen. We carry them forward with the same love and the same honor.

To every Gold Star family connected to our community — your loved one is not forgotten. They are spoken of. They are missed. They are honored today and every day.

We who remain carry the weight of their memory and the privilege of continuing to serve in their name. That is not a burden — it is a gift they left us.

Rest easy, brothers. We have the watch.

Manuel Rosas Jr. (red shirt in the middle) came into the office to meet everyone in the back office. Manuel is retiring from Mission at the end of next month and going to take some time off and then find a nice retirement driving job to stay busy.
