Petal Power

Flower Power Gives was founded by Jordan Fein, Lauren Elie and their moms, Kelli Cohen Fein and Gina Gaston Elie.

Petal Power (formerly Flower Power Gives) provides non-profit organizations and others an opportunity to extend their flowers beyond their formal fundraising events, out into the community where people need the validation, joy, and hope that flowers can bring. Petal Power volunteers salvage flowers from luncheons, galas and other special events and transports the floral arrangements to veteran’s hospitals, homeless shelters, men’s and women’s centers, senior citizens/assisted living facilities, and pauper’s and veteran’s cemeteries. This philanthropic gesture gives our community’s most overlooked and unsung citizens the delight of a simple unexpected gift of happiness and beauty--flowers! Petal Power recognizes that thousands of dollars of flowers go to waste throughout our community simply because no one is there to coordinate the re-purposing from one event, to a service-oriented site. We stand in the gap by bridging non-profits who have leftover flowers with charities who are trying to serve our most vulnerable citizens. Petal Power also affords mothers and daughters (and sons) an opportunity to work together in service, hone their business and philanthropic skills, and cultivate a legacy of service and giving through the generations. We help share joy, bring smiles to our neighbors faces, and mitigate waste of a powerful natural resource.

What a wonderful afternoon supporting the annual Teach for America Ignite Luncheon. The Chavez High students prepared these beautiful arrangements and lent a helping hand in getting these flowers to our cars for distribution.

Our Petal Power team shared, smiles, and love with the Search Homeless services staff at Villas Apartments.

Unedited. For real, for real: our last pickup and last post of the year 💐

So special to see Quinn following in her sister’s footsteps for such a wonderful cause 🤍

Huge thank you to Erin from Floral Events for helping coordinate the wedding pickup.
Yesterday, Aliza and Quinn Dutt picked up flowers and delivered them to the hardworking men and women at the Village Fire Department to enjoy and take home to their loved ones 🌸🌺🌷

No edits, no design.. just flowers doing what they do best.

✨ Giving Flowers a Second Life For Over 10 Years✨

From galas, weddings, and luncheons across Houston, we’ve redistributed floral arrangements to places that can further benefit from their beauty — including 7 Acres, Ronald McDonald House, Houston Hospice, Star of Hope, Covenant House, Belmont Senior Living, Mission of Yahweh, New Hope Housing, and more.
To these organizations in 2025, we donated over 900+ arrangements - our biggest year since the pandemic!
So grateful to our event partners, volunteers, and venues who help turn celebrations into comfort, hope, and joy for our community, and who have made the last 10 years brighter for so many 🌸💛
