F15 Halifax River Sea Plane Base

June 11th will be the official Crissoning of the Halifax River Sea Plane base. BBQ will be involved and a City Ribbon cutting will be done by Mayor Chris Via and city manager Joe Forte.

The base is now open please land within 300 foot of the shoreline in the designated landing area. FWC has stipulated that the Manatee speed limit does not pertain to either Amphibs or Float planes in these waterways. So it is now 100% legal to utilize this now Prive but for public use Sea Plane Base.

Looking for some planes to fly in on the 11th as the news medias both Television and print will be there for the ceremonies.

Oct 14 th and 15th will be a Car show, Competition BBQ cook off and Memphis bell Big band dance as our first official Event. Stay tunned as we expect to build a great place for like minded Sea plane enthusiast and the public to participate in.

Very Shortly we will have two Sea Plane bases as our vision of a string of destinations Certified by the safe and obstruction free waterways, for the Sea Plane Enthusiast. Stay Tuned our second location will be announced shortly.

Very exciting things are about to happen at the Sea Plane Base. Stay tuned 99% done. Another Sea Plane Base board meeting will be announced this week. All of our hard work is paying off.

Super Petrel will have a demo day at the base very soon. One of the leading manufactures located right here at the Ormond Beach Airfield.

Stay tuned for some great news coming to the Base. ICON A5 has asked the base to be a part of their sales and marketing team and to HQ the aircraft for instruction and Demonstration flight purposes.
This is a huge step for the base as This is the number one amphibian aircraft in the world right now. By Icon recognizing our strategic importance in the market shows we are on the right track here in Holly Hill at the new revised historic Halifax River Sea Plane base F-15.
