Top 5 Horror Movies as a Disney Travel Agent
#1: "We booked on our own to save money."
This one hurts because Disney costs the same whether you book with me or book it yourself - my cost is literally built into the price, so you’re paying for a travel advisor and not getting the benefit. I don't charge planning fees, and even Disney pros can benefit from having someone in their corner when plans change or something goes wrong. So why not let me help you with your trip?
#2: "We're just going to wing it."
Every time someone tells me they didn't enjoy Disney, I ask why. Most of the time...the lines were too long and they didn't have a plan. You don't need a minute by minute itinerary, but a little strategy goes a long way. My goal is for you to love Disney as much as I do.
#3: "We booked through Costco to save money."
I get the appeal of a deal, but once you've booked, you're mostly on your own. If you call Disney for help or changes, they'll tell you since you booked with a 3rd party you have to call them. Costco does not specialize in Disney, but I do💁🏻♀️
#4: Being ghosted 👻
I totally understand when plans change. Life happens. But a quick "We're going to hold off for now" goes a long way. I spend hours building quotes and proposals, and travel agents don't get paid until clients actually travel. I genuinely love putting trips together, so no hard feelings if you're not ready to book, just don't leave me hanging!
#5: "I used Chat GPT to make my trip itinerary."
Don't even get me started on this one. I am in tons of Disney groups and the amount of misinformation from Chat GPT is mind blowing. Please if you take one piece of advice from this post, fact check anything you get from Chat GPT many times their information is outdated. Disney changes things a lot and that is where I am crucial. I am always staying up to date on all things Disney.
