🚍 Itinerary:
1️⃣ Morning:
Head south to Wendover, the historic home of Mary Breckinridge 🏡—founder of Frontier Nursing in Leslie County. Enjoy a guided tour of “The Big House,” hear inspiring stories of her pioneering midwifery work 👩‍⚕️, and soak in Appalachian heritage.
☕ Then relax with a classic tea service in Wendover’s beautiful surroundings. Following the tea service, create a stunning succulent teacup garden- living art pieces perfect for gifts or home décor to serve as a reminder of your Wendover experience.

2️⃣ Special Stops in Leslie County:
🇺🇸 Visit the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Southeast—a serene tribute to those who served. Volunteer with Wreaths Across America to place wreaths on veterans' graves (only available in December)
⛏️ Explore the Hurricane Mine Memorial, honoring miners and the region’s coal heritage.
