Can you believe there are less than THREE days between you and one of best days on a bicycle you’ll have all year?! 🤯

For anyone doing the 99 or 199 miler that is concerned about heat and thinking about dropping down to the ‘49’ - we can do that all the way up until the last minute and it’s a great route!

One of our favorite times of day, at one of our favorite spots on course. It’s almost a shame you’ll be through here before the golden hour. See you in four days!

We’ve been course marking, and the roads are beautiful. These photos are an example of the arrows; on gravel there are also marking paint arrows. Orange for 99 and Green for 49; both where the routes overlap. Thanks to Fulton County Hospital for help with marking materials this year! Oh, and a bonus photo of the bridge at Baker’s Ford. It’s fixed this year, and you can ride right across.

Guess we can officially say it’s RACE WEEK!

09/05/2026

Because of the ongoing drought, Sharp County Arkansas will be declared in a state of emergency officially on September 8th. It’s very hot; please start hydrating early in the week for race day, & carry as much water with you as possible on race day.

09/04/2026

Pre-Race emails are scheduled to go out in the morning. We tried to be comprehensive; if we missed something or you have any questions please reply to the email, send a message, or text/call the race director (number is in the email).

199 Route Update - Because of the Route being ridden Clockwise this year, you’ll be going through the Ravenden/Ravenden Springs area at night. We will have a water cooler for you at mile 158 in case Valero or DG are closed when you get there (highly likely).

Then, for safety reasons, instead of going North on Highway 90 to Ravenden Springs, you will take Anderson Street out of town to the North, and onto gravel sooner. This change brings the route to 202.7 miles, 170ish being unpaved. Writing pre-race emails now.
