As we transition from celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month to celebrating America 250, we are taking a look at the Asian community’s contributions to our nation. Last month, MDOT employees gathered together for a cultural celebration to highlight the rich cultures and histories. Administrative Director Christina Poy with the Governor's Office of Community Initiatives shared the connection between AANHPI communities building the nation’s transportation system and how it ignited the annual observance in the first place.

That’s a wrap! Repairs to the eastbound I 70 bridge over MD 27 in Mount Airy are officially complete.

Next week, crews will remove the concrete barriers and reopen the right shoulder of northbound MD 27.
