Anglers, I'm watching the weather for Wednesday. I don't mind the rain, but its supposed to storm all day. I am trying to move the permit. If they will let me (GRDA and the City) we may move it a couple weeks. There's a big BFL regional next week..... Keep an eye out here for updates...

Now, understand, I do this for the fun of it........ we have a good time at these things, I'm open to constructive criticism, especially from guys that actually fish these jackpots. If you have fished with us and want to suggest something, I'll listen. If you haven't fished with us, wed love to have you!

We may do some winter jackpots as well. These will most likely be on Saturdays.... or maybe both!

Well that's a wrap on the 2026 ABA/Lake Lodge Grand Lake Jackpots. I first want to thank all the anglers that participated this year. Its a great bunch oy anglers! Second, I want wo thank the Whitney family for all their help. Couldnt do it without you!

It was HOT! Not the fishing, it was kind of tough as you can see by the standings.

It was a 4 fish limit and Kojak Cook took home a trophy and $1400 for his two day total of 26.89, $100 for his Day one Big Bass that weighed 5.06 AND he won the $110 that was in the 50/50 pot!

Second and $700 went to Kevin Jackson with his weight of 20.13. Third went to Gerald Morgan, he took home $350 and rounding out the pay line was Kyle Kitts, taking home $200.

Day 2 Big Bass honors and $100 went to Jon Stewart for his 5.62 lb bass.

UPDATE ON A COUPLE ITEMS- (please read the whole thing if you're fishing this event)

Good Morning ABA 65 Anglers!

ABA District 65 will be holding its two day championship event for 2026 next week! The date is Wednesday and Thursday , September 16th and 17th, Grand Lake out of Wolf Creek.
Here are the anglers that fished enough tournaments in this division to be eligible. We could have others from other divisions join as you must fish 4 events (any division).

Let me know if your not on the list, but fished another division, so I can verify.

IMPORTANT: If you do come from another division and haven't fished with us before, and haven't paid he additional $50 division fee (over and above the normal ABA fee). There are two options for you:
1. pay the additional $50 division fee and be eligible for all monies below.
2. pay the normal entry fee ($200 for this event this includes Big Bass and 50/50 raffle) and be eligible for the normal ABA payout (first place would be roughly $660 for non membership paying anglers based on 12 anglers entering)

If you fished the two day last year, we had lots of good prizes (and we will again this year). Also, Championship and AOY Trophies as well as the cash in the pot ($1000) that will be added to the Payout.
Remember this is double entry fee, double points and double pay plus the pot so if just the 11 eligible anglers fish, and my figures are correct, the payout would be something like this:
1st - $1400
2nd - $700
3rd - $350
4th - $200
Big Bass - $110
50/50 pot - -$110

Registration: 5:30 am to 6:00 am

REMINDER:
ABA District 65 will be fishing the 6th and final regular season event of the 2026 season tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3rd on Grand Lake out of Wolf Creek.
Registration: 4:45am - 5:15am
Briefing/Partner Draw (if any co angler sign ups) 5:15am
Takeoff: 5:45AM or Safe Light
Weigh In: 2:00PM
Please be prompt. Per ABA rules once the Tournament Briefing has started no more entries can be taken.
IMPORTANT: There will be a one time $100 membership fee for 2026. $50 for your ABA annual membership ( will be extended one year if already a member) and a $50 division fee that will go towards year end payout, less plaque costs. This fee is not optional. This extra one time fee will boost our year end payout at the two day championship. You must fish four events to qualify for the championship, any division.
Entry Fee- $100 this year, cash only at ramp. So at the first event you fish, $200 will be due. ($100 if you fished with us previously for the 2026 season)
