While the North Kaibab Trail is closed for Rim-to-Rim hikers, Kaibab Express is still shuttling from hotels to the South Kaibab Trailhead and AZT hikers. We will be available every day until October 15 with some limited options for the rest of the year.

AZT Hikers! We have an October 15 shuttle running from the North Rim to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Pickup at the North Rim is 1:30 PM, with a second stop at Jacob Lake at 2:30 PM.

To our Kaibab Express family,

We are heartbroken by the loss of life and the destruction in the canyon this weekend. Our thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones, and with the rescue crews, first responders, and NPS staff who have been working through it all.

Thank you for your patience as we sort out everyone's scheduled shuttles in light of the trail damage and closures. If you were affected, you should already have a personal message from me in your booking email. I'm also answering messages at [email protected] as fast as I can. I'm still running charter shuttles in the area, so I've been replying and taking calls between runs.

I also want to thank you for believing in our small, new company. Shuttling Grand Canyon hikers this year has been one of the great joys of my life, and it will be again. We're not going anywhere. Whenever the canyon is ready to welcome hikers back, we'll be here waiting — and honored — to be part of it.

The Grand Canyon area saw significant rainfall on Saturday, August 29.

The North Kaibab Trail and Phantom Ranch are closed until further notice following this recent flash flooding in the canyon. All hikers were evacuated safely, and our thoughts are with the crews and visitors affected.

The North Kaibab Trail is closed for the foreseeable future. We'll keep posting here as we learn more.
