Starting mid-May, the waters off Mexico (especially near Cancun, Isla Mujeres & Holbox) welcome one of the ocean’s most incredible visitors—the whale shark 🐋💙

A few fun facts about these gentle giants:
• They’re the largest fish in the world (some grow up to 40+ feet!)
• Despite their size, they’re completely harmless—they only eat plankton
• Each whale shark has a unique spot pattern (like a fingerprint!)
• Swimming alongside them is a bucket-list experience you’ll never forget

Imagine floating in crystal-clear water while one of these peaceful giants glides right by you… it’s pure magic ✨

Whale shark season typically runs mid-May through September, but the best sightings are often in the summer months.
