This is the first 222 I’ve had to offer. SN: EJ271627, 11/18/1953. This machine has gone through my full 21-poiint inspection, plus more. Included here is everything you see pictured, plus a computer printed manual (not pictured). This machine was made for the French market, so it comes with a 110/120 volt motor and has the correct plug for the US. It sews a beautiful stitch and has a high shine. It does, however, have a paint chip and some slight crazing on the extension bed, which I show in two of the pictures. We had a wonderful Featherweight Maintenance class yesterday at Mid-South Sewing in Knoxville, TN. Everyone was fully engaged and brought their smiles! There was lots of learning and lots of laughs, too. Thank you to all who attended!

Now offering this 1961 Red "S" featherweight. A very nice, high shine machine. Of course, it has been through my very thorough 21-point service and my "Super Clean" service, as well. Controller cleaned and adjusted. All have been polished with Maguires, waxed with Zymol and have Maguires Ceramic finish. Includes everything you see in the pictures. I've had so many questions about having a machine painted, that I'd like to put some information here.
I am located in a tiny little town called Friendsville, TN. It is about 20-30 minutes south of Knoxville, TN.
I don't ship painted machines. They can be shipped to me for painting, but they have to be picked up by the customer or maybe someone they know who lives close to here.
My wait list is approximately 2 years right now.
I prefer not to put a price publicly on-line. It is subject to change with the price of paint and/or labor. At the current time, it is usually just under $1000.

To those of you who have inquired but don't live close enough, I apologize but thank you for looking at my page and admiring the machines. Hopefully, you can find a trusted painter closer to you, or one who is willing to ship a painted machine.

To those of you currently on my list, thank you and hang in there. Your turn will be here before you know it...🤩

Maintenance VS Service
I've seen so many people give advice to new Featherweight owners, not to pay for to get their new-to-them machine "serviced" when they can oil and grease the machine themselves. These are most of the parts I remove during a machine service. I put these parts into my sonic cleaner and most of them get polished, as well. I remove burrs from the loop guard, check the spring in the bobbin case, etc. as well as check the motor brushes and clean the motor commutator. So many time I find thread wrapped around the hook assembly that hasn't jammed the machine - yet.
I brush my teeth every day, but I still go to the dentist once a year for a cleaning.
Please keep maintaining your machine, but based on usage, bring it to a trusted service person for a full service every one or two years.

I just got these parts back from my painter today. This is a gorgeous soft dusty pink color. I think the owner will be very happy. Now to put it together - pictures when I do!

Edit: Sale Pending
This is a 1940 Featherweight. It has gone through my 21- point service and more. As you can see, the decals site wear and the finish on the main part of the body isn't prefect. It's been loved and is a lovely machine. Scroll faceplate, chrome handwheel and chrome stitch length indicator adds to her charm. Runs fantastic and quietly! Sews a great stitch with the original bobbin case. New belt, LED bulb, bed cushions, oil pan felt and wiring harness on controller. Comes with the feet & bobbins shown, as well as a button holer. The case, basically new, got some of the vinyl in a corner torn. It has one key. This one is $475. Cash only; pick up in Friendsville, TN. Thanks for looking.
