A true trailblazer. We can learn so much from you.

When I think about Mrs. Pam, I think about someone whose roots were always deeply planted in the community. No matter where you worked over the years as a bus driver, one thing always remained clear — you genuinely cared about people, families, and the children you served every single day.

I’ll never forget how encouraging and excited you were for me when I became a contractor. That alone meant more to me than you probably ever realized. Even after I became one, whenever you would see me, you would always ask, “How are things going?” That showed me that you were already thinking about and supporting the next generation long before many others were.

You understood that this work is bigger than transportation. It’s about community, relationships, leadership, and leaving something behind for others to continue building.

Your spirit, encouragement, and example will never be forgotten. We got it from here, driver. ❤️

Who is behind the wheel of Big Dawg? Meet Samuel Clark!

"I was born and raised in Delaware. For a short period, I lived in Maryland, where I started my career in restaurant management. I later moved back to Delaware, and shortly after my return, I was involved in a car accident that changed the course of my life. After years of physical therapy and recovery, I had to rethink what my future would look like.

What I now see as one of the best decisions of my life was becoming a licensed foster parent. That path led me to my son, someone I truly believe God placed in my life with purpose. Foster care has shaped how I see and treat every child I come in contact with. Through years of training and hands-on experience, I’ve worked with some of the most challenging cases in the foster care system, focusing on meeting children where they are and making a lasting positive impact.

I come from a family with deep roots in school bus contracting, with over 100 years of experience in the industry, so transportation has always been part of my foundation. Two years ago, I stepped into that legacy and built Big Dawg Transportation. In December 2024, we launched our first route serving the Indian River School District.

Today, I feel at home in this work, but I know there’s still more to build. My goal isn’t to be the biggest contractor, but to be the best. I want my team to feel supported, valued, and heard, and I want every student who steps onto one of our buses to feel safe, respected, and cared for.

LET’S TALK SCHOOL BUS SAFETY.
THE BIG DAWG WAY! (Read Caption)

Riding the bus comes with responsibility and Rules here’s how we keep it safe, respectful, and running smoothly for everyone:

Safety Comes First
• Stay seated at all times while the bus is moving
• Keep aisles clear (no bags, feet, or instruments in the walkway)
• Keep hands, feet, and objects inside the bus at all times
• Follow all driver instructions immediately

Respect is Non-Negotiable
• Speak respectfully to the driver and other students
• No yelling, cursing, or inappropriate language
• No bullying, teasing, or fighting
• Keep your hands to yourself

No Distractions for the Driver
• Do not approach or distract the driver while the bus is moving
• Keep noise at a reasonable level
• No throwing objects

No Dangerous or Disruptive Behavior
• No standing, switching seats, or roughhousing
• No vandalizing or damaging the bus
(writing, cutting seats, etc.)
• No spraying perfumes, body sprays, or substances on the bus (serious safety issue due to allergies)

Food, Drinks & Cleanliness
• No eating or drinking unless approved
• Clean up after yourself
• Keep the bus clean and safe for everyone

Electronics & Personal Items
• Headphones must be used for music/videos
• Keep phones and devices appropriate
• Keep large items out of the aisle

Bus Stop Expectations
• Be at your stop on time and ready
• Wait safely away from the road
• Follow driver directions when boarding and exiting

Consequences (Progressive Discipline)
• Verbal Warning
• Assigned Seat
• Parent/School Notification
• Suspension from the bus
