Disney Long Weekend – Day 2: Hollywood Studios! 🎬✨
The morning started with some Cool Kids Summer fun back at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort! The lobby was full of music, dancing, and special appearances from Daisy, Mickey, and Minnie. The kids had an absolute blast—and of course, no Disney morning is complete without Mickey waffles for breakfast. 🧇✨
With the extreme heat and two kiddos in tow, we decided to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for our Hollywood Studios day—and it was absolutely worth it. 🙌
We hopped on the Skyliner and made our way to Hollywood Studios late morning, starting with Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land before heading over to Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.
One of the biggest surprises of the day was how many characters we saw! We caught The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, then explored Animation Courtyard where we spotted Rapunzel, Mulan, Donald, Chip, and Goofy roaming around. We also checked out Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live, which was a huge hit. If your kids grew up on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (and you still know the Hot Dog Song by heart 🙋♀️), this show is a must-do!
Lunch was at Roundup Rodeo BBQ. I had been before, but it was a first visit for the rest of our group. The kids thought freezing when Andy was coming was the funniest thing ever, loved spotting all the hidden Mickeys, and definitely took advantage of the bottomless mac & cheese. 😂 Our server, Grayson, was fantastic and spent time joking around with the kids, which made the experience even more memorable.
After lunch, we took some time to walk through One Man's Dream—and if you've never done it during a Hollywood Studios day, you absolutely should. This walkthrough attraction tells the story of Walt Disney's life and the incredible ideas that became the parks, movies, and experiences we know today. It's fascinating, nostalgic, and one of the most underrated attractions in the park. Plus, it's a perfect place to escape the Florida heat for a little while. ❄️✨
After that, we planned to catch the Villains show, but unfortunately it was experiencing technical difficulties and ended up being down for the afternoon. We still stopped for a few photos—especially since my mom is a big Maleficent fan!
By then, the heat was definitely catching up to all of us, so we decided not to push it. We hopped back on the Skyliner, cooled off in the room for a bit, let the kids burn off some energy at the playground, grabbed pizza & Mickey Sundae's from Centertown Market, watched Disney Bedtime Stories, and wrapped up the evening watching the EPCOT fireworks from the resort as we walked back to our room.
Hollywood Studios may be known for thrills and big attractions, but this day was a reminder that there is so much more to enjoy—from shows and characters to hidden gems like One Man's Dream and simply taking time to soak it all in. 💙✨
