I just now realized I had not even informed all our friends on here about Brielle's surgery. On Tuesday, Brielle had surgery on both hips. It's called Bilateral Femur Proximal Osteotomy. The surgery went well. The surgeon was worried he would have to reconstruct her pelvis on the left side as well as do ankle surgeries. He didn't have to do either of those. The surgery that she had is still a very hard surgery involving cutting both femurs and using plates and 8 screws to put everything back where it should be. She came out of surgery ok, but she was in a lot of pain for the next 20 hours before they finally got her pain managed. She is currently still on several forms of pain management, but she is comfortable. She's not herself, but she is comfortable here in the ICU. The last 24 hours have been so much better for her. Hopefully, she will continue to improve, so prayers are definitely requested. Thank yall and sorry I forgot to keep everyone updated on Brielle.
