🌻Free Quarterly Sunflower Wallpapers are here (better late than never)!

I took a scan of Rachel’s repeating sunflower design from our recent Autumn Beauties release, turned it into a pattern in Photoshop, and made a few versions for your desktop and phone screens.

We spend so much time with these drawings and patterns as they make their way into print, and it’s fun to find other ways to use them once the cards are out in the world. We love this sunflower pattern so much that we wanted to share it with you in another form, for free!

There are two colorways to choose from, each with or without a calendar. Find them through the link in our bio or stories.
Help us spread them around and share with a friend you can be matchy with. 💛

Heartell turns TWELVE this month! 🎉🎈We’re celebrating with 30% off everything on our retail site for 12 days. From today (8/20) through August 31st *No code needed.

Twelve years of trial and error, working out the kinks, spilled ink, broken presses, uncontrollable laughs, charcuterie boards, tender tears and solid dance parties in the studio.

Thank you for following along, buying our cards, sharing our work and helping us keep this independent business going. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to 12 years of making things together and keeping connections strong! 🥂💌🎈🪩

How does a colorful sketch become a Risograph card? 🌈✨

Meet Sarah, our Riso printer and the color-loving creative behind the process! Each design is first drawn by hand by Rachel, scanned then separated into color layers digitally (by Rachel or Sarah) and then finally printed one color at a time in our Fort Wayne studio.

Complete with tiny shifts and wonderfully imperfect details that make every Riso print unique, but Sarah really brings the magic by playing with color combos, swapping out ink drums and making sure registration doesn’t stray to far.

Swipe for a quick peek behind the scenes but visit our Studio Blog to meet Sarah and a more in depth look at process, from sketch to finished card.
