This is to tell his tale through this rough journey that began the day that he was born but went to hyper drive on November 18 2011 when a simple dr. appointment turned into a lot more than just that. Anthony a plain as day normal little boy with two sisters Savannah Trinity-Rose and Arabella Susan. The day had started out rough to begin with he awoke several times through the night to a pain in his legs when he was finally up for the day things just got a little worse it was like he couldn't walk at all so off to the dr. we had to go. He had his appointment and I thought that the dr. himself was about to cry. When Anthony had tried to walk across the floor to him for his checkup he started to go and fell flat to the floor and that was all the dr. had to see he sent us to the hospital for some blood test and x-ray. Simple enough so we thought take some test go home nothing special yeah not the way that it went at all by the time that we made it across town we got a phone call to go back to the dr. office. That could be just about anything at all let’s just hope for the best and go see what he wanted. No sooner did we get to the waiting room he called us back to his office. Him being my family dr. when I was younger (mom) and my sisters (aunt) over 15yrs of going to that same place I had never once seen his office so when he wanted us to follow him in so we could talk my heart so called dropped I knew that there was something seriously going on. He got straight to the point he said that Anthony had looked to pale. But to me that was just him that was the way that he looked all the time then came the bad part . His white blood count was abnormal and that he had to be taken to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for some further test. Not one of those things that could wait to another day he had to go right from there he said that he was about 75 80 percent sure that Anthony had cancer but the test at Children’s would have to confirm. From there we went to the hallway to call my mother and my sister to see if they would be able to take him down for his test. I couldn’t even talk I had lost it I just couldn’t believe that my little boy had cancer what were we going to do he is only 2yrs old this is not fair. Next thing that we know we are in Pittsburgh and the test had all come back that the dr. was right he had cancer, A.L.L Leukemia the only good news that came out of the news was that it was not spread that far yet. From there to now was quite the up and down some days are good some are bad but he is a fighter and he will keep fighting. Any gifts/cards/special letters can be sent to:
