Anyone thinking about traveling on the secondary roads in TN I'd think twice about it. This is Dickson TN and the roads suck. I made it to the customer without having to chain up 🙏. Customer isn't open, no real surprise, but they're saying that they might be running a second shift. As for me, I don't expect anything to happen much before tomorrow morning.
For everyone who gives me a hard time about having a big sleeper truck..... I don't think I would have made it in here with a regular sleeper truck and I wouldn't be want to be stuck anywhere anymore without all the amenities that I have now.

Booked a load. They sent me a message at 5am saying that it’s cancelled.
Then they won’t respond to any calls, emails or texts.

5 of us met in Skowhegan this morning and drove up to Bangor together to a Chlidrens “Touch a Truck” event. It was to honor a sick young man with a terminal illness and the proceeds went to him and his family.
I really enjoyed seeing the kids sit in the drivers eat and roam through the sleeper with wide eyes and lots of questions, parents too…. The one picture of the dad and daughter I made sure I got the parents permission before posting their picture. It was a great day. Very glad to be a part of it and be able to honor the family.

Well this weekend I serviced the engine, greased the driveline and suspension, serviced the generator, fixed an airline to the drivers seat, repaired a brace to the valance under the cab on the drivers side, rotated the tires on the rear axle of the stepdeck to the front axle, put new tires on the rims and installed them on the back axle, replaced a wheel seal on the back axle on the stepdeck trailer, changed the front steer tires, polished the steer rims, and washed the truck. Miller time….

Out with the old tachometer and in with the new. Old one decided to randomly take a nap while driving down the road. So out with the old and in with the new.
Also greased the driveline and suspension and adjusted the brakes this morning.
Now to get ready to go trucking in the morning.

Well new loaded hub, new axle nut, new shoes and new lugnuts. Should be good for a while now. 🤞 I like the new hub. Not only does it have the center sleeve to equalize the pressure on the bearings, it also had a fill plug in the center of the hub making it easier to make sure that the bearings get plenty of oil to lubricate them right from the start.
Another nice bonus is that since I registered the hub on Spicers website I now have a 3yr 350,000 mile warranty on it.

Well replacing an axle seal and brake shoes has now turned into installing a new preloaded hub after seeing the shape that the outer race and bearing were in….. just glad I deadheaded home that 300 miles to fix this instead of trying to take another load.
