Diptych, "Wooden Wonders of WWII". Russian Lavochkin La-7 and De Havilland DH 98 Mosquito. The La-7 was flown by the Allied "Ace of Aces", Ivan Kozhedub. The Mosquito shown is a USAAF F-8 photo reconnaissance version. Both aircraft featured wooden construction.
