Thank you Yurok Tribe for the invite today. Mother and Daughter native moon provides free period products to indigenous youth and women.
Originally started in 2017 but officially as Mother & Daughters Native Moon in 2020. Our first project was to create and provide First time moon packs to youth and bring awareness that pads were not available in the local clinics bathrooms and 5/26/21 I collaborated with UIHS Potawot to create and start moon packs at UIHS. It was a huge accomplishment and proud to say we started the program and made movement & are still fighting to end period poverty by doing exactly this local community events and distributions. Mother and Daughters Native moon has been doing events, a providing free period products for Indigenous youth straight out of Humboldt County CA since 2017 and home of the fist moon pack since 2021.
