Stepping outside our comfort zones, learning new things, and growing! 🌱

Over the weekend, our Rental Manager had the opportunity to travel to Frankfort as part of the 2026–2027 Leadership Hardin County program.

What a great way to kick off the program! The weekend was filled with several incredible guest speakers who shared valuable information, new perspectives, and plenty of inspiration.

We have nine more months of learning, growing, and getting to know the people and organizations that make Hardin County such a great place to live and work.

At Swope Rent Rite, we believe growth happens when you’re willing to step outside of your comfort zone—and we’re excited to see where this journey leads!

I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and try something completely new. After years of working strictly within the dealership world, stepping into my role as manager of Swope Rent Rite was a big change for me.

But the Swope Family of Dealerships has stood behind me, encouraged me, and pushed me to continue stepping outside of that comfort zone—to get involved, meet people, learn new things, and do things that aren’t necessarily part of my day-to-day job.

I have been in front of more people in the last year than I ever could have imagined. I told someone yesterday that there hasn’t been a single situation I’ve been part of so far that has made me regret this decision. If anything, it has made me incredibly grateful that I took the chance.

The last two days, I had the opportunity to attend the Lead Launch Leverage Conference with the Radcliff Small Business Alliance, Inc. and the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce

While I may not be a small business owner, I am helping grow another leg of the Swope family of dealerships and carry on our commitment to the community and legendary service.

The information, encouragement, ideas, and connections I gained over the last two days were incredible. I was surrounded by some of the kindest, most helpful, thoughtful, and caring people in Hardin County and the surrounding communities.

Thank you to everyone who shared your time, advice, experience, and knowledge. I am walking away with a full notebook, a lot to think about, and even more motivation to keep stepping outside of my comfort zone.

Sometimes the best growth happens when you’re willing to do something you’ve never done before. ❤️
