Requiring two years of service of at least one day per week with extensive time underway, the Auxiliary Cutterman badge has proven elusive for many but the most dedicated Auxiliarists. To those who have been underway and earned the title of Cutterman, Bravo Zulu! To those currently earning that privilege, outstanding job and we encourage you to keep pushing 💪

interpreters?! 🌐✈️🗣️

That’s right! The Auxiliary Interpreter Corps includes over 350 trained linguists who speak more than 57 languages—from Spanish and Mandarin to Farsi and Swahili. These Auxiliarists support missions like international port visits, disaster relief coordination, and even joint operations with foreign navies. So while one crew member might be checking life jackets, another might be translating for a foreign delegation on a cutter tour. 😎🌍

When was the last time you inspected your life jackets?

Life jackets should be routinely inspected for wear and tear and be replaced if anything is torn, broken, or worn out.

And don't forget to wear it!!
