We couldn't help but wonder if only we had in-house expertise...

Well, it turns out we do! With over 25 years behind the wheel, 20+ years navigating major retail TMS and WMS systems, and 20+ years collaborating with brokers from both the customer and carrier sides as well as our own brokerage and MC, we have a wealth of experience. Our extensive background includes countless years in administration and management, ERP development, analytics, and app building and coding.

For the past few months, we've been experimenting with and testing various TMS systems. However, none of them met our needs or aligned with our goals. More importantly, they didn't benefit our carriers or drivers. These systems also failed to bridge the gap between our MC, Brokerage, and Dispatch Services, offering no advantages to our customers, whether they are direct shippers, brokers, or carriers. Additionally, these systems came with costs that would ultimately be passed down to our customers. So, we decided to create our own solution—free of charge.

Attached, you'll find an early demonstration of our work on the Dispatching side of our operations. Carriers we service will be able to log in and access their own information and analytics. Have multiple drivers? No problem—you'll see all the details. This will be paired with a driver app, where drivers can view information on their assigned loads, upload shipping documents and pictures, which will automatically be tied to the corresponding load.

Drivers will also be able to upload fuel receipts through the app, with an added manual approval ensuring accuracy on the backend. These receipts will be assigned to a driver settlement that you can generate and send automatically at the end of the week. Need to request an advance? Drivers will be able to do that through the app, and it will be approved (by you personally) and assigned to their weekly settlement. You'll only need to handle the actual payment. Want to keep track of other expenses like insurance costs, equipment leases, or annual inspections and health card notifications? Absolutely. The sky is the limit.

This is just the beginning—a very small demonstration of what we are working on. Things will look and work very differently from what you see currently. The best part is that we're developing it in-house. This means that if you, as a carrier, or your drivers have suggestions for improvement, we can implement them.

This is something that is super important to us.

Drivers, we know.

Holidays, birthdays, special events and everything else that you miss while out on the road providing for you and yours. We know.

We know what that feels like and know what you are going through in those moments.

Please reach out. Your fellow driver you met at the truck stop and shot the s**t with and now chat with daily. That one dispatcher you like (fairytales are real right?). Your company owner. We don't care. Just please reach out to somebody.

For you veterans, reach out to those fellow and especially younger drivers that call you for advice. If you haven't heard from them in awhile take a moment to make sure they're good. You never know what kind of impact this could make.

If this hits your screen and you don't have those people around you, reach out to us. Not for services but as friends. We can promise you'll be pulled into some pretty epic phone calls. This time of year can be incredibly difficult for many. Mental health crises tend to increase during the holidays due to added stress, financial pressure, feelings of isolation, and the weight of expectations.

At 1:00AM on Thanksgiving weekend , one of our troopers encountered a situation where a person was experiencing a severe mental health crisis on a highway overpass. Thanks to quick action from the trooper and a passing motorist, the individual was safely pulled away from danger and connected with immediate care.

L&R Transportation LLC, I don't think any of us are prepared for the new guy. Years of experience under Travis prior in all aspects of the industry. We're kinda scared he's going to be running the entire show once he gets started, Padawan surpasses the Master? He's hungry and we look forward to it though! That's over 20 years of combined experience in all corners of trucking!
