Winter is coming! Winter is coming! Yes.. That time is here that snow enthusiasts love, and professional drivers dread.
Time to:
1.) Get good tires on your vehicles (all-weather and snow tires, while expensive, can make all the difference in those challenging winter conditions)
2.) Plan for emergency situations. Find a place to put some bottled water, some snacks and energy bars that are non-perishable (a bucket of KFC, while tasty, is not for emergency food stores), flares, extra blankets and a heavy coat, some of those little heat packets, These are all items, if you are stranded in your vehicle and the temperatures start to drop, that may be a key to survival.
Remember that many of the rules of the road are actually there for the benefit of all. Your four wheel drive and snow tires do not make you impervious to ice and other extreme road conditions. Slow down, pay attention, and obey the posted speed limits. These are not just suggestions, they are traffic laws, and violating them puts people in danger, and can cost you financially in terms of fines and increased insurance expense.

In Colorado, the seasons change in the blink of an eye. There has already been snow on Pike's Peak and Wolf Creek Pass. Now is the time to start thinking about preparing for winter. All seasons? Studded snow tires? How's your antifreeze? Don't get caught by surprise. At Jolly Roger Transportation, we have started preparing emails to go out to our independent contractor drivers so we can have a safe, productive fall and winter.

The 2017 Dodge ProMaster with the 159" wheel base, capable of carrying up to 3500 lbs. We are very excited for the new ways that we will be able to provide excellent service to our customers. Did you know:
Air Freight Service means that your package can be picked up in Denver and be delivered the same day in California, Texas, New York? Almost anywhere, depending on the time it is picked up, we can get it delivered the same day. Some restrictions apply, as this is primarily a business service, and some vetting is required. But once you are set up, your product can be in the hands of your customer with a phone call. Jolly Roger Transportation. We just do things better!

We deliver what our customers need delivered. Nothing glamorous. If you are motivated, have availability of time, and want to work, this is what we are looking for:

Driver with a vehicle: Minivan, cargo van, SPRINTER, or a straight / box truck, covered pick up truck. Year 2005 or newer preferred. (Cargo van and Sprinter also preferred)

Driver with good insurance and safe driving record

Drivers with good cell service

Drivers who value punctuality and accountability: This is basic. Let your word be your bond. Don't be lazy.

Drivers who understand what an "independent contract delivery driver" means: There are no shifts, you are essentially running your own business.

Drivers with good communication skills

Drivers with a computer to receive information: We need to be able to give you the information you need to do the job. This is usually sent by email.

Drivers with flexible availability (We operate 24/7. The more you are available, the more your services can be utilized)

Drivers who are professional and courteous: Our customers demand it. It is about service and reputation.

Drivers who are motivated to make money: Pretty basic!

We ARE NOT looking for:
Drivers with excessive personal drama

Drivers who complain

Drivers who do not understand ON TIME

Drivers who are lazy
