Edgewood Flyers The Edgewood Flyers provides family oriented and community based activity of model aviation. Our thanks to the community for your support.

Model aviation helps kids enjoy the outdoors and teaches hands-on skills, problem solving, and delivers numerous educational lessons in math and science. The Edgewood Flyers educational efforts are supported by The Academy of Model Aeronautics Scholarship Program. The Edgewood Flyers continue to maintain the area, collect environmental data for the New York State Department of Environmental Conser

vation (DEC), and protect the surrounding environment to provide a clean and safe area for educational and developmental activities.

✈️ Clear the Runway… This One’s Gonna Be Fun ✈️

The John Conklin Memorial Airplane Fun Fly is coming to Edgewood Flyers, and it’s time to dust off your favorite bird and pretend you meant that landing.

📅 Saturday, June 13th
🌧 Rain Date: June 14th
📍 528 Commack Rd, Deer Park, NY

💵 $20 landing fee for non-members (lunch included)
🎟 Raffles (because you can never have enough spare stuff)
⛽ No nitro or gas before 10:00 AM
🛂 AMA membership required to fly

Bring planes that fly great, planes that “mostly” fly great, and stories about how it was way smoother last time. We’ll be honoring John Conklin the best way possible... by flying, laughing, and having a great day at the field.

Hello Members!

Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all!

We'd also like to thank everyone who attended our Christmas Party... it was a great success and a fantastic way to wrap up the year together.

Looking ahead, we are planning our annual members-only Bob Teseo New Year’s Day Fly-In on Thursday, January 1. There are no events, no raffles... just a relaxed opportunity to come down, shake off 2025, and get some flight time with your fellow club members on the very first day of 2026.

If the weather cooperates and we get a decent turnout, we’ll plan on grabbing some pizza for those who brave the winter skies.

Please note this is a member-only, weather-permitting event. If it becomes clear that flying won’t be possible, we will send out a cancellation email. But the last two years delivered great flying weather, so here’s hoping for three in a row!

The John Conklin Memorial Fun fly was a fantastic success! Many registered pilots overcame challenging afternoon crosswinds (and some didn't 😁) entertaining all who were there.

Thank you to all who helped put it together and volunteered to make it an enjoyable day.
