A great student, showing excellent leadership!

Today, our bus garage notified us that this kiddo was recognized for being a tremendous help when there was a substitute bus driver, going above and beyond. Way to go! Look at you, making yourself proud!!

We will be operating on a one hour delay today- February 23.

02/09/2026

Tomorrow (February 10), we will operate on a regular schedule — No delay. While conditions have continued to improve, some bus routes will still use alternate pick-up and drop-off locations (Plan B) to ensure safety. Families impacted will receive a separate ParentSquare message.
We’re thankful for today’s sunshine and warmer temperatures, which helped improve conditions, and we appreciate your continued patience and flexibility as we move forward.

Tomorrow (February 9), we will operate on a one-hour delay. Some bus routes will continue to utilize alternate drop-off and pick-up locations (Plan B) to ensure safety. If you were contacted last week about Plan B, this applies to you. If your family is unable to safely navigate to school or an alternate bus stop, we will work with you—please reach out to your school principal. With warmer temperatures in the forecast this week, we are hopeful this means conditions will continue to improve and we can get back to a normal schedule soon.

And since it’s Super Bowl Sunday, we hope your team wins! 🏈
Stay warm and take care.

NTI Day for Boyle County Schools- Feb 3

We know this winter has brought an unusual number of NTI and snow days. After continued monitoring, several roads and sidewalks remain unsafe, and we are not comfortable returning to in-person learning at this time.

Boyle County Schools will operate on an NTI Day-Feb 3

Thank you for your flexibility and continued support as we prioritize safety across our campuses and communities.

Safety first and unfortunately we are still seeing snow covered roads. Warmer temps are in sight and we are ready to see our students!

NO SCHOOL NTI DAY on Monday, February 2

We were hopeful conditions would improve enough to safely access all buildings, but icy areas remain a concern countywide.

Important reminders:
Students should be working during a typical school day schedule
Teachers are available from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
School phone lines will be manned during the day
Please reach out if you have any questions or need support
And a reminder that brighter days are ahead. There are 47 days until spring. We are hopeful the groundhog is kind tomorrow and does not see his shadow, bringing the possibility of an early spring.

Due to the impacts of this week’s winter storm, Boyle County Schools will be closed for the remainder of the week.

While road conditions across the county are continuing to improve, parking lots, sidewalks, and walkways on our campuses remain very slick because of significant icing. For the safety of our students and staff, Thursday and Friday will be traditional snow days (no NTI).

We truly have missed seeing our students in person and want to thank them—and our families and staff—for the hard work and flexibility shown during NTI days this week.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday and getting back to learning together.

Please take care, stay safe, and enjoy the extra time to rest and recharge.

NTI Day: Wednesday, Jan 28
Due to continued hazardous conditions, Boyle County Schools will operate on an NTI day tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28. This will be the last NTI day used this week.

We will continue to assess conditions and will communicate a decision regarding the remainder of the week as soon as it is made. Our priority remains the safety of our students and staff.

At this time, sidewalks and parking lots remain hazardous and unsafe. Please continue to avoid these areas.

Additionally, all evening activities scheduled for this evening have been canceled.

Calendar Update:
The district calendar has been updated. Instructional days have been added back into the calendar to recoup past and potential future traditional snow days. Please note that February 16 and March 16, which were originally scheduled as days off, are now instructional days and school will be in session. Please plan accordingly.

AMENDED CALENDAR (25-26): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D6gGxBZV-2JHuUBeBxS5mqLi8SpcYzBK/view?usp=sharing

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor conditions and make the best decisions for our school community.
