As National Infertility Awareness Week comes to a close, I keep thinking about how Walt Disney World has quietly been the backdrop to so many chapters of my life.

My 16th birthday. High school graduation. College graduation. My honeymoon with my husband. Some of my happiest celebrations and memories started there long before I ever knew how much more it would come to mean.

Then came a season when life felt a lot heavier. Walt Disney World became our escape. It was where we went to breathe, laugh, and feel hopeful when so much felt uncertain. We went after my first egg retrieval. We opened our embryology report there. We stood in front of the castle holding up three fingers to celebrate three viable embryos with happy tears behind our sunglasses.

We even bought baby ears before we knew if anyone would ever wear them.

Years later, I got to watch my daughter wear those same ears on her first trip. I got to hold her while fireworks lit up the sky in the same place where I once stood praying so hard for her.

That’s why Walt Disney World will never be just a destination to me. It has held joy, fear, waiting, celebration, and dreams that took their time coming true.

And maybe that’s why I love helping families plan these trips so much. I know firsthand that sometimes a place becomes part of your story forever. 🧡
