Hi 👋!
I’ve had so many new faces around here that I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself again!!

I’m Alissa (pronounced Aleeesa😇) and I’m the face behind Home Grove! I’m a homeschooling mama of 4 who has always loved thrifting, crafting, and bringing new life to ugly things!

Where does the name Home Grove come from? Well, all four of our kids are named after trees 🌳 and a small grouping of trees is called a Grove! Since I’m raising them at “home” the name Home Grove was born 😍

We are going through a crazy stage of life right now...my husband is leaving his job in a month to pursue his own business in wood working and I’m going to be taking a break from refinishing—trying to do it all, and have my husband home much less right now has been a bit hard!

The Lord is leading me into a season of rest, but I’ll still be here showing you a few things! I’ve got some small projects (and a few big ones) in my own home that I’m excited to finally be able to do.

This Riverside set has gone through quite the transformation! The textured fronts with new framing completes this beautiful greige! It’s warm and is a beautiful chameleon color depending on the lighting.

New hardware, drawer liner, and furniture salve to make these two pieces smell amazing complete the final look!

The dresser actually has 8 drawers, with two felt lined at the top. The rest of the drawers are very spacious and glide perfectly as all the glides and guides were replaced.

While this chest of drawers was a pain in my side, I am thrilled with how it turned out! Lots of people have commented on my reel that they liked the old hardware better, but they were cheap plastic and not worth saving in my opinion 😂

And can we just take a minute to talk about this color?! I am IN LOVE!!!!! This might be my favorite color I’ve ever used. Pictures just don’t do it justice.

This set can be both masculine OR feminine and would be the perfect compliment to so many decor styles! Your (or your kid’s) bedroom is calling 🤩

I don’t even know where to begin with this one!! When I picked it up, I wished I had left it because of how bad of shape it was really in.

I had to rebuild the drawer, remove all of that crazy black paint, rebuild the sides because they were so badly ruined, build a base, and then paint, stencil, put salve on the drawers and topcoat! Phew!!😅 I was so relieved when this dresser was finished and it’s quite possibly my greatest flip to date!

And how about those stencils?! I used my Maker 3 by to cut this fun design! Whether you see snakeskin, leather, or snow ❄️, it is truly a custom look!
