A new welcome to McKinney is coming to DTX. 🎨✈️

We’re excited to announce Austin-based artist Mila Sketch as the creator of our new exterior mural, “Welcome to McKinney, Texas.” The 44-by-24-foot artwork will celebrate everything that makes our community special, including local landmarks, Texas landscapes, and McKinney’s history, culture, agriculture.

Mila’s work can be seen across the country, including at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and we’re thrilled to bring her creative vision to McKinney as we prepare to welcome travelers this November.

We can’t wait to see this new piece of our community come to life! ❤️

Long before commercial service was announced for DTX, our air traffic controllers have been hard at work guiding business jets, flight schools, emergency aircraft, and general aviation traffic safely through McKinney's skies.

This November, they'll add scheduled airline service to the mix as they continue doing what they do best—keeping aircraft moving safely and efficiently.

Happy International Day of the Air Traffic Controller! ✈️
